ABCHealth was also nominated in three other categories including the “Social Enterprise of the Year”, “Best New Entry” and “Partnership of the Year”.

Commenting on the award, the judges noted that ABCHealth was deserving of the honour for its commitment towards fostering Africa’s health sector, including engendering a continent-wide push for improving the health and well being of the African populace through partnerships between governments, businesses and other critical stakeholders in the health space.

The judges also acknowledged the organisation’s dedication to integrating private sector resources and public sector power for sustainable investments into Africa’s health and healthcare sector through the leadership of its founders, Aliko Dangote, chairman and CEO of Dangote Group, and Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, chairman, board of directors, African Business Coalition for Health/founder and chairman, Coronation Capital Limited.

Mories Atoki, chief executive officer, ABCHealth, who received the award on behalf of the organisation, dedicated the award to all the businesses in Africa committing resources into impact investments, aimed at improving the value of life for all Africans.

Atoki also disclosed that through the ABCHealth platform, businesses in Africa can mobilise resources, expertise, and professionalism, making clear and informed decisions to participate and scale impact towards improving health outcomes.
