AfroFlavour, a UK-based organisation passionate about elevating African cuisine to the global stage, is gearing up to host the highly anticipated AfroFlavour Food Festival in Manchester, United Kingdom on July 6th, 2024, and in Maryland, USA, on August 3rd, 2024.

The celebration aims to bring together food enthusiasts, fashion connoisseurs, music aficionados, art lovers, industry professionals, and culture enthusiasts for an unforgettable journey through the rich tapestry of African traditions and diverse cultures.

The upcoming AfroFlavour Food Festival promises an array of captivating activities designed to excite attendees of all ages and interests. Highlights include the African food business conference, where entrepreneurs can explore opportunities in the continent’s growing culinary industry, as well as vibrant fashion and art stalls showcasing the diverse talents of African creators.

Festival-goers can also enjoy exhilarating runway presentations and mouthwatering food contests like the highly anticipated “Jollof Wars.”  Moreso, children and teenagers are expected to be delighted by the fun-filled activities, while adults can indulge in delectable dishes crafted by top chefs, restaurants, and street food vendors.

As the AfroFlavour Food Festival approaches, participants can look forward to savouring the diverse flavours of Africa and experiencing an electrifying night of Afro Vibes music with DJ BLOX. The festival also creates a welcoming community atmosphere where attendees can indulge in delectable food, delightful music, and a shared appreciation for African culture.

The event not only contributes to the global recognition and celebration of African cuisine but also supports AfroFlavour’s broader vision of elevating the continent’s food industry through festivals, conferences, advocacy, and specialised platforms. By mainstreaming African cuisine and fostering the growth of a billion-dollar market, AfroFlavour aims to catalyse industrialisation and boost exports in African economies, making the AfroFlavour Food Festival a feast with a purpose.

Lucky Idike Jr., the founder of the AfroFlavour Festival, expressed excitement about sharing the vibrant spirit of Africa with the people of Manchester and America.

“Our goal is to showcase African food, culture, and entrepreneurship in a way that is entertaining and enriching for all who attend,” he stated.
