Adesh Agro Farm Limited has said that it is committed to empowering and partnering with indigenous farmer across the country. Adeshola Oluwasegun, the Chief Executive Officer, Adesh Agro Farm Limited said this in his opening remark while unveiling its processed and packaged farm produce, recently in Lagos.

Restating its long term vision of providing local farmers with adequate technology equipment and seedlings needed to enhance the operations and productivity of their various farm produce, Oluwasegun revealed that Adesh’s activities also aim at enhancing sustainable agriculture as well as supporting small and large scale crops and animal farmers with access to lands and skills to help grow their capacity and productivity.

He added that the initiative was birthed as a result of the need to thwart the increasing poverty across the country and would be actualized by ensuring there is a sufficient supply of affordable nutritious and hygienic food for the nation every year.  According to him, providing the local farmers with high-yielding seedlings is part of the company’s efforts which is directed towards giving back to the ecosystem in which it operates and thrives in.

“We have learned that these indigenous farmers in rural areas have enormous lands. But they struggle to find high-yielding seedlings to make use of. So, we provide them with high-yielding seedlings and teach them modern methods they can apply in their farming.

“In addition, we equip them with modern machinery such as tractors, transplanters, maize planter, cassava planter, thereby enhancing their production capacity,” It noted.

Commenting on the safety measures of the farms, Oluwasegun pointed out that all the farms are being insured by Leadway Assurance Company Limited. “We are also calling on private individuals to come on board to support local farmers through the different sort of investment packages we have on board for them,” He said.
