Afriland Properties appoints Azubike Emodi to lead as MD/CEO

Real estate development firm, Afriland Properties Plc has appointed Azubike Emodi as its new managing director and chief executive officer (MD/CEO). Emodi succeeds Uzo Oshogwe, the company’s founding MD/CEO, who recently took up the position of CEO of Transcorp Hotels Plc.

According to the company, Emodi brings to his new role an impressive resume that includes over 20 years experience in critical sectors, including financial services, real estate development, and strategic planning.

Renowned as a visionary leader, Emodi has been instrumental in driving organizational growth and delivering game-changing results in several key companies, including Royal Bank of Canada, VFD Group, VBank, Anchoria Asset Management, and, most recently, Herel Global, where he played a major role in steering high-impact financial and real estate projects to fruition.

As MD/CEO, Emordi will drive the vision of Afriland Properties, creating value from its position as one of Nigeria’s largest land banks, and delivering the significant residential and commercial real estate projects in its project pipeline.

Emmanuel Nnorom, the chairman of the board of Afriland Properties, expressed delight at welcoming Azubike Emodi as the new MD/CEO of Afriland Properties Plc, noting that his vast experience, strategic mindset, and exceptional leadership make him the perfect choice to lead the company’s next growth phase.
