Bourse records uptick as investors gain N272bn

Trading activities on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) platform recorded an uptick on Thursday, as market capitalization grew by N272 billion to close at N29.411 trillion.

The All-share Index (ASI)  was up 0.93 per cent to close at 53,998.12 points.

Meanwhile an aggregate of : 2.8million units of shares were traded in  3,940 deals, valued at N8.06 billion.

Bourse records uptick as investors gain N272bn

The market breadth closed positive as MRS led 27 gainers, against  12 equities that lost their share prices, topped by SUNUASSUR.

MRS led the gainers chart, as it grew by  10.00 per cent  to close at N17.60; NNFM appreciated 9.88 per cent  to close at N8.90; INTENEGINS increased by 9.76 per cent  to close at N0.90; SEPLAT was  up 9.50 per cent  to close at N1325.00; while CORNERST grew  9.09 per cent  to close at N0.60.

On the contrary, SUNUASSUR led the losers chart as it shed  8.11 per cent  to close at N0.34; MBENEFIT was down  7.69 per cent to close at N0.36; LINKASSURE declined by 6.25 per cent  to close at N0.45; VERITASKAP depreciated 4.76 per cent  to close at N0.20; while PZ down lost 4.65 per cent  to close at N10.25.

At the end of the trading activities on Thursday, the  Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled at 4.65 per cent, while the stock market advanced by 2402.46 basis points.
