To mitigate against the embarrassment of incessant building collapse and fire incidents in Nigeria, organizations have been advised to embrace the services of qualified facility managers.

Facilities management expert cautions organizations against patronizing quacks
David Korede, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Eliezer Group, a leading facility management service provider in the country gave this advice recently while Speaking during a pre-property summit interview in Lagos.

He however cautioned organizations against engaging the services of quacks as he believes this may deprive them of enjoying the real benefits of proper facility management.

Facilities management is a field that encompasses a range of disciplines and services to ensure the functionality, comfort, safety, and efficiency of a built environment — buildings and grounds, infrastructure and real estate, including operations and maintenance, communications management emergency management, and business continuity among others.

Also, reacting to how information technology(IT) has influenced the industry, Korede said that the entry of Technology, especially Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) has been a game changer in the industry because it has greatly helped both the FM practitioners and occupants to make better-informed decisions. “Working in remote areas and locations have also been a lot easier with the help of technology,” he added.

Eliezer Workplace Management Limited is a leading integrated facility management firm in Nigeria. Established in 1997 and with a presence in 19 States of the federation, Eliezer has pushed forward with a strong national workforce. Leveraging on its vast portfolio of success, Eliezer has consistently delivered a wide range of services in partnership with globally recognized brands.

Eliezer Workplace Management Limited is also a nominee for Total FM Service Provider of the Year and Specialist FM Service Provider of the Year awards in the  Business AM Property Summit and Awards event that will take place in November 2022.
