FG to take over Yola Disco with N27bn

The federal government is set to retake full possession of the Yola Electricity Distribution Company with about N27bn.

The National Assembly is billed to approve the sum of 26,901,762,500 as refund for the acquisition of the company by private investors.

The House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations has recommended the payment in its report on the 2020 Appropriation Bill scheduled for consideration and adoption today.

It is listed as Item 188 under the Capital Supplementation component of the 2020 budget.
