LCCI to host Invest Nigeria conference as global interest grows

The 2026 edition of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) organised ICTEL EXPO conference aims to explore and expose Africa’s next tech frontier, the Chamber said in a statement made available to Business a.m.

The LCCI said with the theme “Africa’s Next Tech Frontier: Building, Securing & Scaling Digital Prosperity,” the event, now in its 12th edition, will focus on accelerating digital transformation across critical sectors while addressing the opportunities and challenges shaping Africa’s rapidly evolving technology ecosystem.

Set to hold in Lagos in July, the ICTEL EXPO is the Chamber’s flagship information and communications technology (ICT) exhibition and conference offering a platform that serves as a hub for innovation, strategic partnerships, and policy conversations aimed at advancing Nigeria and Africa’s digital economy.

The Chamber noted that since its inception, the ICT-focused exposition has continued to foster collaboration between the public and private sectors while promoting technology-driven economic development.

As one of Africa’s leading technology and innovation platforms, ICTEL EXPO 2026 will convene policymakers, global technology leaders, investors, innovators, regulators, academia, startups, and key industry stakeholders to explore the future of Africa’s digital economy, the LCCI said.

“Over the past decade, ICTEL EXPO has evolved into a premier platform for strategic dialogue, innovation showcase, investment promotion, and business networking within the ICT sector,” it explained.

The 12th edition is expected to attract high-level participation from public and private sector experts driving advancements in telecommunications, fintech, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, digital infrastructure, smart cities, e-commerce, digital inclusion, and emerging technologies, the Chamber further said.

Leye Kupoluyi, president of LCCI is quoted in the statement as saying the forthcoming event comes at a defining moment for Africa’s digital future, noting that “as technology continues to reshape economies and societies, the need for collaboration, innovation, digital resilience, and sustainable investment has never been more important”.

Kupoluyi said the conference will also provide a strategic platform for stakeholders to chart pathways toward inclusive digital prosperity collectively.

He said the conference will feature high-level keynote sessions and executive panel discussions, industry exhibitions, and technology showcases, strategic business networking opportunities, innovation and startup engagements.

Others are policy and regulatory conversations, investment and partnership opportunities, capacity-building sessions for businesses and professionals.

ICTEL EXPO 2026 will also spotlight emerging trends shaping Africa’s digital landscape, including AI adoption, cybersecurity resilience, fintech expansion, broadband infrastructure, data governance, cloud ecosystems, digital trade, and youth-driven innovation.

Those expected in attendance include corporate organizations, government institutions, development partners, investors, technology companies, startups, and media organizations to participate as sponsors, exhibitors, strategic partners, and delegates.

As Africa continues to position itself as a global digital growth frontier, ICTEL EXPO 2026 aims to strengthen cross-sector collaboration and drive actionable conversations that will contribute to sustainable economic growth and technological advancement across the continent.
