Moniepoint Inc, a leading digital financial services provider in Africa, has introduced the DreamDevs initiative, a new programme aimed at equipping young tech enthusiasts with essential skills to address the continent’s tech talent gap.

The initiative, which is now open for applications, targets recent graduates with backgrounds in technology, computer science, engineering, and related fields. Candidates are expected to have foundational programming knowledge, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

According to Moniepoint, DreamDevs will run as an intensive nine-week boot camp, offering participants hands-on training and exposure to advanced industry tools. At the end of the programme, top-performing participants will have the opportunity to secure internships and potential full-time positions with the company.Interested applicants are advised to  visit the company’s website for more details.

Moniepoint has a track record of investing in tech talent, including its HatchDev programme, which is run in partnership with NITHub Unilag. HatchDev trains 300 junior software engineers, 100 intelligent systems developers, and 100 IoT/embedded systems engineers annually.

With Africa’s digital economy expanding rapidly from fintech to artificial intelligence—initiatives like DreamDevs are expected to play a critical role in shaping the next generation of tech leaders.

Speaking on the initiative, Felix Ike, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Moniepoint Inc., highlighted the company’s commitment to developing Africa’s tech ecosystem.

“We believe in investing in Africa’s future, and that starts with empowering young people. DreamDevs is not just about training; it’s about creating a pathway for ambitious graduates to drive technological progress across the continent,” Ike said.

He further noted “We have always envisioned a transformative approach to technology, using it to power the dreams of millions and engineering financial happiness across the land. The DreamDevs initiative perfectly aligns with this vision. By providing participants with practical experience, upskilling opportunities, startup incubation, and product development support, DreamDev equips them to become invaluable assets to the tech industry. We are thrilled to be part of an initiative that supports the government’s efforts to build a thriving digital economy for Nigeria.”
