MultiChoice is set to refresh its DStv and GOtv offerings in Nigeria, introducing new package options and channels as the pay-TV operator seeks to give subscribers greater choice and control over their viewing experience.
The company said the upcoming changes would introduce refreshed packages across both platforms, with products designed around customers’ viewing preferences and the types of entertainment they consume.
MultiChoice said more details of the new DStv and GOtv packages would be announced in the coming weeks.
The package revamp comes alongside changes to the company’s movie offering, with subscribers gaining access to three refreshed M-Net Movies channels from Thursday, September 17, 2026.
The three channels (M-Net Movies+, M-Net Stars and M-Net Legends), replace the previous four-channel M-Net Movies offering.
According to MultiChoice, the consolidation is intended to provide a more differentiated movie experience, with fewer repeat screenings, more fresh titles and clearer programming distinctions across the channels.
The refreshed movie portfolio will feature films from major international and local studios, combining new blockbuster releases with established favourites and curated programming across different genres.
The company said the changes were driven by feedback from movie viewers and were aimed at making it easier for subscribers to discover and watch films suited to their preferences.
Beyond the movie offering, MultiChoice is also expanding the DStv channel line-up with the addition of SuperSport Kick-Off and France 24.
SuperSport Kick-Off will offer viewers a selection of football programming, including some of the sport’s major competitions and matches.
France 24, meanwhile, will provide international news coverage, analysis and reporting, with dedicated attention to African news and current affairs.
The addition expands the mix of entertainment, sports and news content available to DStv subscribers as the company adjusts its channel portfolio.
MultiChoice said the changes across DStv and GOtv reflect its effort to make its Nigerian offering more customer-focused by providing greater choice, value and flexibility.
The company said the refreshed packages would give customers more ways to tailor their viewing experience, while the new channel structure is intended to simplify content discovery.
MultiChoice said further details on the refreshed packages, including the specific offerings available to customers, would be announced in the coming weeks.
