By 1991, she joined Liberty Assurance Company Limited as company secretary, legal adviser, and head of claims department, and later moved to Industrial & General Insurance Company Limited (IGI) in 1992 as its pioneering company secretary and legal adviser.

Ezeibe went on to co-found Crystal Trust Insurance Brokers Limited, where she currently serves as managing director/chief executive officer.

Her professional qualifications include Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), London, where she distinguished herself in Claims Practice and Strategic Risk Management, as well as Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), and Fellow of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB).

She has also been a respected Marine Insurance lecturer at the Nigerian Chamber of Shipping for the past 14 years, earning recognition as an award-winning educator in the field.

Ezeibe has played a pivotal role in shaping Nigeria’s insurance policy landscape. For nearly a decade, she has been a vocal advocate within the NCRIB for reforms that culminated in the enactment of the Nigerian Insurance Industry Reform Act (NIIRA) 2025.

Her influence extends across various industry regulatory and professional bodies, including the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA), and the Professional Insurance Ladies Association (PILA).

Within the NCRIB, Ezeibe has served in several leadership roles;as honorary treasurer (2017–2019), vice president (2021–2023), and deputy president (2023–2025)  before her election as President.

Her leadership footprint also extends to the continental stage. She has served as secretary (2022–2024) and treasurer (2024–2025) of the African Insurance Brokers Association (AIBA), where she currently holds the position of vice chair, becoming the first woman to attain the role.

Beyond that, she was a member of the constitution drafting committee that established the Africa Insurance Women Association, and played a key role in formalising its structure, including officiating the inauguration of its first president, the late Margaret Moore, in Algiers, Algeria, in May 2023.

She also serves on the Insurance committee of the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) in London, further underscoring her international profile and contributions to the global insurance and maritime sectors.

In its statement, the Council described Ezeibe as “a woman of integrity and intellect” whose appointment represents both continuity and transformation for the broking profession in Nigeria.

“Her rich knowledge of insurance law, integrity, and social capital will contribute to solidifying the Council’s position at the forefront of Nigerian professions,” the statement read.

As she assumes office, expectations within the industry are high that her leadership will drive stronger collaboration across constituent arms of the insurance sector, deepen professional standards, and advance the inclusion of women in insurance leadership — building on the NCRIB’s six-decade legacy while charting a modern path for the future.
