Rwanda’s statistics bureau said the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 1.7 percent in the first quarter of 2017 compared with the same period in 2016 according to Reuters.

The services sector accounted for 46 percent of GDP, agriculture for another 32 percent and the industrial sector another 15 percent, the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda said.

The statistics bureau said first-quarter growth in 2016 had been revised from 7.3 percent to 8.9 percent, without giving a reason.
