Software firm creates app, Native, to support remote work

Advancements in cloud-based productivity tools, video conferencing and powerful collaboration apps have made the popularity of distributed work a norm in business outlets across the globe. Studies show that by 2025, a shift to remote work will be among the biggest business trends likely to equal or surpass traditional office work.

Software firm creates app, Native, to support remote work
The remote-work phenomenon has accelerated the growth of distributed work for many companies and organisations. As a result,  startups have started utilising new tools to keep remote teams connected and communicating in the ways that make them work effectively.

One of the innovative digital services set to offer business organisations and online users  an efficient experience is Native, a messaging app set to be launched on iPhone Operating system ( iOS) on January  21, 2022. It is the first messaging product created by Analog, an African distributed software company founded and led by Oladosu Teyibo.

Native is  focused on global communications using seamless translation which means that people speaking different languages will be able to communicate. It also comes with a unique cluster feature that keeps remote teams focused and connected, allowing users to have a community of people with whom they  have shared interest.

The cluster feature sieves out noise from external messaging tools such as multiple ads or unnecessary content thereby addressing the issue of online users being plagued with content that doesn’t match their interest, while ensuring that content shared by cluster members is what determines the content of the user’s  feed.

Although currently in beta, the messaging app is being built by a community of UX researchers, programmers, and content creators, all working remotely to create a product that would help teams across the globe collaborate, create bonds, and seamlessly communicate across cultures and languages.

Commenting on the uniqueness of the app, Paul Chukwuma, user acquisition lead at NATIVE asserted that seamless translation is a big step in making multi-cultural and national collaborations more engaging for not only creatives but everyone.

“We’re so excited to see how our users utilise this feature after our IOS launch,” he added.
