UAC Foods appoint Oluyemi Oloyede as new MD/CEO

UAC Foods Limited,  a subsidiary of United Africa Company of Nigeria (UACN) PLC,  operating in the food and beverage sector of the Nigerian economy,  has appointed Oluyemi Oloyede as its new managing director and chief executive officer, effective from March 2023.

The company disclosed the appointment in its official LinkedIn page, where Oloyede expressed his delight over his appointment, noting that his leadership style values growth mindset, grit, diligence, and integrity.

Oloyede, a seasoned people and business expert with over 16 years of experience leading multinational teams, has a track record of delivering excellent results in companies such as Procter & Gamble, Kellogg, and Kerry Group.

Prior to joining UAC Foods, Oloyede served as the West African  general manager of Kerry Group, a leader in global food ingredients, taste and nutrition solutions, for five years and two months.

At Kerry Group, he led a team of colleagues in commercial, finance, research, development and applications, supply chain, and operations to support Kerry’s customers in West Africa.

He was also  the regional business manager for Kellogg company, where he was responsible for Kellogg’s business in West Africa, including, but not limited to R2M design and execution, distributor profiling and selection, sales and distribution, channel development, business forecasting, demand and supply management, consumer and customer marketing, trade margins, training and capability development.

UAC Foods appoint Oluyemi Oloyede as new MD/CEO 
He started his career at Procter & Gamble West Africa as key accounts manager, where he covered territories across Nigeria, including Ibadan, Abuja, Kaduna, Zaria, Jos, Port Harcourt, and Lagos. He later became the national sales operations manager covering all of Procter & Gamble’s sub-distributors in Nigeria, and then as Regional Sales Manager responsible for Lagos, Ogun, Edo, and Delta States.

He also worked at  L’Oréal where he served as the national sales manager, Nigeria and Ghana

Oloyede holds a first class honours degree in mathematics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Nigeria, and an MBA from the same institution.
