NACCIMA takes charge of ACCI dispute resolution centre

Following the memorandum of understanding signed between Abuja Chambers of Commerce, (ACCI) and Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), the Dispute Resolution Centre, DRC of the former will henceforth be managed by NACCIMA as the national centre for all chamber movement in Nigeria.
NACCIMA had in its last council meeting adopted two centres of ACCI – the DRC and the policy advocacy centre – as national centres. With the DRC already signed, work is ongoing to finalise MoU on the policy Centre.
The MoU which was signed by both parties and involved, the first deputy president, ACCI and chairman ACCI DRC, Emeka Obegbolu alongside president of NACCIMA, Saratu Aliyu will see the adopted centre serve as a ground for dispute resolution for all Nigerian Chambers of commerce and industry

Meanwhile, the ACCI recently won an award as the umbrella body for Chamber movement in Nigeria, as NACCIMA on Tuesday conferred it a special award on the foremost Chamber. In addition, the ACCI also bagged an award of excellence for its innovative chambers development and exceptional contributions to the growth of commerce and industry in Nigeria.
Commenting on the award, Aliyu said the award is coming at a time when the country is facing various challenges. With the tremendous accomplishments by the awardees, “the event inspires and encourages all Nigerians to regain their confidence and return back to the culture of excellence in every aspect of their endeavors,” she said.
