The president, through a statement presented by Femi Adesina, special adviser to the president on media and publicity, explained that the development followed the presentation of projects and programmes implementation to independent and critical self-review which is in accordance with the provisions of the constitution.
Buhari noted that the review steps became critical in order to identify and strengthen weak areas, close gaps, build cohesion and synergy in governance, manage the economy and improve public service delivery to Nigerians.
According to the president, change is the only factor that is constant in every human endeavor and as the administration approaches a critical phase in its second term, it has become imperative to reinvigorate this cabinet in a manner that will deepen its capacity to consolidate legacy achievements.
