TeamApt Ltd has expanded the functionality of its payment gateway platform, Monnify, through a new integration with Zoho’s cloud-based accounting software, Zoho Books, in a move aimed at simplifying invoicing, collections, and financial reconciliation for businesses operating in Nigeria.
The partnership introduces Monnify as a plugin within Zoho Books, allowing businesses to generate invoices and receive payments directly through the accounting platform while improving operational efficiency and financial visibility.
The integration, now available through the Zoho Marketplace, enables users of Zoho Books to select Monnify as their preferred payment gateway during invoice generation. Customers are subsequently redirected to a secure Monnify checkout page where payments can be completed using Nigerian debit and credit cards, bank transfers, and other supported digital payment channels.
According to the companies, the plugin also supports real-time payment reconciliation within Zoho Books, helping businesses minimise administrative bottlenecks associated with manually recording transactions and updating financial records.
Ifeanyi Duru, senior vice president of enterprise network sales at Moniepoint Inc., said the integration aligns with Moniepoint’s broader objective of building seamless and reliable payment infrastructure for businesses.
“We believe that payments should be seamless, efficient, and reliable,” Duru stated.
“The Monnify plugin for Zoho Books helps simplify how businesses receive payments while offering customers multiple options to settle invoices. With this, entrepreneurs and SMEs can focus on running their businesses with confidence that their collections and financial records are always in sync,” he added.
The partnership comes amid increasing digital adoption across Nigeria’s business ecosystem, where enterprises are accelerating investments in cloud-based accounting tools, digital payment systems, and financial automation solutions to improve efficiency and support business growth.
For Zoho, the integration strengthens its push to deepen its footprint within Africa’s growing SME technology market by offering more localised payment and accounting capabilities.
Prashant Ganti, vice president of global product strategy, finance and operations BU, Zoho, said businesses increasingly require connected financial systems capable of reducing operational complexity as they scale operations.
“At Zoho, our goal is to provide a comprehensive and connected financial ecosystem that reduces operational complexity for growing businesses,” Ganti said.
“As Nigerian businesses scale, they need their accounting and payment systems to work together seamlessly. With Zoho Books and Monnify, businesses can move from invoicing to collections without the friction, while maintaining accurate financial records with better visibility into their cash flow,” he noted.
