Nigerian Breweries announce management changes

Nigerian Breweries Plc has announced the appointment of Emmanuel Oriakhi as the company’s marketing director and member of the management team following the resignation of Franco Maria Maggi.

According to a statement released by the company, Oriakhi, who was until his appointment, the business development manager of Heineken Global Commerce in Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe assumed the role on September 1, 2018.

Oriakhi joined Nigerian Breweries in 2003 as a commercial management trainee and held increasingly senior roles within the commercial function of the company.

In 2014, he went on secondment to Heineken International as the regional marketing manager for Africa, Middle East and Eastern Europe.

The statement also noted the resignation of Franco Maria Maggi, after completing his assignment to Nigerian Breweries which ended August 31, 2018.

The company also announced the resignation of two other top management members.

Mark Rutten resigned as the company’s finance director and Hendrick Wymenga resigned as the company’s supply chain director.
