United Nigeria Airlines and Boulevard Hotels have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at reducing travel costs for passengers while strengthening customer retention through the airline’s Unity Rewards programme.
The collaboration enables eligible travellers enrolled in the loyalty programme to enjoy a 25 per cent discount on room rates at participating Boulevard Hotels properties, alongside complimentary breakfast, early check-in, late check-out and other hospitality benefits.
The partnership reflects a growing trend in Nigeria’s aviation industry, where airlines are expanding beyond ticket sales by collaborating with hospitality, lifestyle and other service providers to enhance customer value and encourage repeat patronage.
For the hospitality sector, the arrangement is to provide Boulevard Hotels with access to a wider pool of business and leisure travellers, helping to improve room occupancy and deepen its presence in Nigeria’s domestic travel market.
Speaking on the partnership, Adedayo Olawuyi, the chief commercial officer of United Nigeria Airlines, said the initiative forms part of the airline’s strategy to extend the value of its Unity Rewards programme beyond air travel.
According to him, the airline will continue to broaden the rewards ecosystem by partnering with businesses across hospitality, fitness, technology and lifestyle segments to provide additional value for customers.
Boulevard Hotels described the collaboration as part of its commitment to delivering seamless hospitality experiences for travellers, noting that the alliance is designed to ensure customers continue to enjoy quality service after completing their flights.
The partnership also highlights the growing convergence between Nigeria’s aviation and hospitality industries, with both sectors exploring collaborative models to stimulate travel demand, support business mobility and strengthen non-aeronautical revenue opportunities across the wider travel value chain.
