BUA Group denies bid for 70% stake in Kano Pillars

BUA Group has denied reports circulating online claiming that the conglomerate and its chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, have submitted a bid to acquire a 70 percent stake in Kano Pillars Football Club, describing the publication as inaccurate and without any basis.

In a statement issued by the company, BUA said neither the group nor its chairman had made any offer for the club or held discussions with any party regarding such a transaction.

“Our attention has been drawn to an online publication suggesting that BUA Group and its Chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, have submitted a bid to acquire a 70 percent stake in Kano Pillars Football Club,” the company said.

“We would like to clarify that this report is inaccurate and does not reflect any position, action, or communication from BUA Group or Abdul Samad Rabiu. No such bid has been made, and there has been no engagement with any party on this matter,” it noted further.

The company urged members of the public, investors and the media to disregard the report and rely solely on information released through its official communication channels.

BUA noted that only statements issued through its verified platforms should be regarded as authoritative regarding its business activities and strategic decisions.
